Description

The floral multicoloured lace used on the Gardenia totes is sourced from a roll of deadstock fabric. It is carefully re-cut to create a new pattern, then hand-sewn onto the main body of each bag. This process requires considerable time and precision.

The Green Gardenia Tote is constructed in three stages. First, the base of the bag is created from green 3D polyester mesh. The floral lace is then layered over black mesh before the entire composition is sewn directly onto the bag. For this design, the reverse side of the floral lace is used.

Kamera Obscura is committed to reducing fabric waste and limiting its environmental impact. Much of the fabric we use is deadstock; the remainder is sourced from reputable suppliers.
